{"id":119243,"date":"2018-05-16T13:51:02","date_gmt":"2018-05-16T08:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=119243"},"modified":"2018-05-16T13:51:02","modified_gmt":"2018-05-16T08:21:02","slug":"ttd-asks-scr-for-direct-vijaywada-train-times-of-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=119243","title":{"rendered":"TTD asks SCR for direct Vijaywada train | Times of India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HYDERABAD: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has sought the introduction of direct train between\u00a0Vijayawada\u00a0and Tirupati via\u00a0Kadappa\u00a0to provide better connectivity to the pilgrim town.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to South Central Railway general manager Vinod Kumar Yadav, newly-appointed TTD Board chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav has said that pilgrims particularly from Kadappa district, Proddutoor and Nandyala are finding it hard to reach the temple town with the present connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>The TTD Board chairman said the new train would also connect Tirupati better with upcoming capital of Amaravati. The letter also proposed that trains like Venkatadri Express and\u00a0Rayalaseema Express\u00a0stop at Vontimitta railway station as it will help visiting Sri Kodanda Ramalayam, which belongs to TTD.<\/p>\n<p>Sources said the\u00a0Railway GM\u00a0has in principle agreed to look into the proposals.<\/p>\n<div class=\"last4brdiv\" data-topcmt-status=\"true\">\n<div class=\"show_wdgt topcomment\" data-plugin=\"show-comments\">\n<div class=\"msg\">\u00a0SCR had announced last week that 30 summer special trains would ply between Tirupati and\u00a0Kakinada Town\u00a0in East Godavari district of\u00a0Andhra Pradesh\u00a0via Vijayawada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru and other places in May and June.
