GMC officials initially attempted to demolish the temple during a midnight operation.\u00a0Knowing the matter, local devotees and Hindu activists arrived at the scene, protested, and prevented the demolition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the officials returned at around 2 pm on Thursday and went ahead with the demolition works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe expressed our willingness in shifting the temple to another place.
