Complaints of traffic violations which cause inconvenience for others have been repeatedly made against the Kanwarias coming to the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">\u201cAll road users are advised to follow traffic rules and obey the directions of policemen on duty. During this period of Kanwaria movement traffic violations will be checked by on the spot prosecution and by photography\/videography of violations which will be followed by prosecution,\u201d said a statement issued by the Delhi Traffic Police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">\u201cThis year the \u201cShrawan Shivaratri\u201d falls on August 1 which means that the Kanwarias, travelling to different cities of Haryana and Rajasthan have started coming to Delhi from July 20 and their number starts increasing from July 24,\u201d the statement further added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\"><b>The main routes<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">Among the main routes taken by the Kanwarias through Delhi are mainly the border areas such as Apsara Border \u2013 Shahdara Flyover \u2013Seelampur \u2018T\u2019 point \u2013ISBT Flyover \u2013 Boulevard Road \u2013 Rani Jhansi Road \u2013 Faiz Road \u2013 Vande Matram Marg \u2013 Dhaula Kuan \u2013NH-8 and exit from Rajokri Border to enter Haryana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">Extra manpower will also be deployed at the aforementioned routes as well as Bhopra Border \u2013Wazirabad Road \u2013Loni Flyover \u2013Gokulpuri \u2018T\u2019 point -66 Foot Road \u2013 Seelampur \u2018T\u2019 Point \u2013NH-1 and further towards new ISBT Bridge and Kalindi Kunj \u2013Mathura Road \u2013Badarpur Border.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">In addition to these important roads and intersections Kanwarias movement is observed in smaller numbers in several locations all over Delhi. Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Garima Bhatnagar said that elaborate arrangements have been made to segregate the movement of Kanwarias and other road users and to minimize inconvenience to the general public and devotees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s the time of the year when Kanwarias start coming to the Capital.
