We try to eliminate it withyoga, entertainment and other such activities. We keep organizing\u00a0yoga. Prison inmates are connected to it and perform\u00a0yoga,&#8221; said Prison Superintendent, Akhilesh Tomar.<\/p>\n<p>Prisoners said that\u00a0yoga\u00a0helped them beat mental disorders like stress and anxiety.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This (yoga) gives us peace and keeps us healthy,&#8221; said a prisoner, Sanjay Rajput.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations last year declared that June 21 will be International Day of\u00a0Yoga, adopting a measure proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n<p>Modi has pushed for the promotion of\u00a0yoga\u00a0across the world, lending his political weight to an industry that has grown up around the ancient physical and spiritual discipline and is estimated to be worth $80 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Indian capital set a world record for the largest\u00a0yoga\u00a0demonstration at a single site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH &#8211; A prison in central India on Thursday (July 29) organized a\u00a0yoga\u00a0camp to help inmates cope with stress and depression.
