{"id":14947,"date":"2016-08-06T12:07:25","date_gmt":"2016-08-06T06:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org?p=14944&amp;preview_id=14944"},"modified":"2016-08-06T12:07:25","modified_gmt":"2016-08-06T06:37:25","slug":"tata-projects-to-execute-rs-1676-crore-river-rejuvenation-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=14947","title":{"rendered":"Tata Projects to execute Rs 1,676-crore river rejuvenation job | The Indian Express"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Infrastructure firm Tata Projects on Friday\u00a0kicked off the Rs 1,676-crore rejuvenation project of\u00a0the Dravyawati river in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"full-details\">\n<p>\u201cThe consortium of Tata Projects and Shanghai Urban\u00a0Construction Group has received this project worth Rs 1,676\u00a0crore from the government of Rajasthan,\u201d it said in a\u00a0statement.\u00a0The foundation stone was laid by Rajasthan Chief Minister\u00a0Vasundhara Raje in presence of Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus\u00a0Mistry, it added.<\/p>\n<p>It is first of its kind river rejuvenation attempt in a\u00a0dry and arid landscape in India and post rejuvenation, the\u00a0river would be developed into an environment-friendly tourist\u00a0destination that would prevent flooding of nearby areas.\u00a0The 47-km long Dravyawati river, which is located between\u00a0Jaisalya village at the foothills of the Nahargarh Fort and\u00a0the river Dhund, has deteriorated into a nallah over the last\u00a0100 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project is scheduled to be completed by October\u00a02018. The consortium will be responsible for maintenance of\u00a0this project for 10 years from completion of the project,\u201d\u00a0Tata Projects said.<\/p>\n<p>Besides amortisation of 170 million litres per day (MLD)\u00a0of polluted water, over 100 fall structures will be\u00a0constructed to ensure availability of water in this channel\u00a0throughout the year.
