{"id":15400,"date":"2016-08-08T12:00:16","date_gmt":"2016-08-08T06:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org?p=15397&amp;preview_id=15397"},"modified":"2016-08-08T12:00:16","modified_gmt":"2016-08-08T06:30:16","slug":"recurring-violence-in-kashmir-valley-causes-huge-downfall-in-annual-amarnath-yatra-pilgrimage-struggle-for-hindu-existence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=15400","title":{"rendered":"Recurring violence in Kashmir valley causes huge downfall in Annual Amarnath Yatra Pilgrimage. | Struggle for Hindu Existence"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"single\">Three persons were killed and over\u00a0150 injured in fresh clashes which rocked\u00a0Kashmir at several\u00a0places after Friday prayers, raising the death toll during the\u00a0current unrest to 53.The clashes took place even as curfew was extended to\u00a0more areas of Kashmir to thwart a planned march by separatists\u00a0to Hazratbal shrine here even as normal life in the Valley\u00a0remained paralysed for the 28th consecutive day.\u00a0Mohammad Maqbool Khanday was killed allegedly in action\u00a0by security forces against mobs who indulged in stone-pelting\u00a0after Friday prayers at Nagam in Chadoora area of central\u00a0Kashmir\u2019s Budgam district, a police official said.<\/p>\n<p>As the news of Khanday\u2019s death spread, protests erupted\u00a0at several places along the Chanapora-Chadoora road and\u00a0clashes were reported from Kralpora area, he said.\u00a0In another incident, three youth were critically injured\u00a0in action by security forces against violent mob at Khansahib\u00a0area of Budgam district, the official said.\u00a0He said the injured were taken to SMHS hospital here\u00a0where one of them was declared \u201cbrought dead\u201d by the doctors.\u00a0The death of the youth led to protests within the\u00a0hospital and some youth started pelting stones on the nearby\u00a0Karan Nagar police station.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh clashes broke out between protesters and security forces in Anantnag and Shopian districts of south Kashmir on Saturday even as curfew continued in many parts of the Valley and normal life remained paralysed for the 29 consecutive day.<\/p>\n<p>21 persons were injured in violence in Chee in Anantnag when protesters staged a rally, a police official said, adding the security forces used various crowd control measures to disperse the protesters.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters pelted stones at a police post at Herpora in Shopian but there were no reports of anyone getting hurt in the incident so far, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Curbs on movement of people had to be extended on Saturday in view of fresh violence in some parts of the Valley on Friday which left three persons dead and over 150 others injured, the official said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurfew remains in force in six police station areas of Srinagar, Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Safakadal, Maharajgunj and Batamaloo, as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order,\u201d a police official said.<\/p>\n<p>He said curfew was also in force in four towns of Budgam district, Chadoora, Khansahib, Magam and Budgam , Anantnag town and Khanpora area of Baramulla district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRestrictions on assembly of four or more people continue to remain in effect in rest of the Valley,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n<p>So far, 53 people have died and more than 6,000 injured in clashes between protesters and security forces following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter on July 8.<\/p>\n<p>Normal life remained disrupted due to the curbs imposed by the authorities and the separatist sponsored strike.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the stranded public life due to high violence of the separatists, the Annual Amarnath Yatra has been suffered very badly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hinduexistence.org\/2016\/08\/06\/recurring-violence-in-kashmir-valley-causes-huge-downfall-in-annual-amarnath-yatra-pilgrimage\/comperative-pilgrims-in-amarnath-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25411\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-25411\" src=\"https:\/\/hinduexistence.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/08\/comperative-pilgrims-in-amarnath1.png?w=664&amp;h=691\" alt=\"Comperative Pilgrims in Amarnath\" width=\"664\" height=\"691\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the middle of the Yatra (started on July 2nd and will be continued upto 17th August as scheduled this year) on 4th August a total number of 2,16,801 pilgrims already visited the holy cave of Amarnath this year. In 2015 there were 3,25,841 pilgrims by 4th Aug timeline as shown in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shriamarnathjishrine.com\/\"><strong>Shri Amarnathji Shrine\u00a0Board (SASB)<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s website. It clearly shows a downfall\u00a0over one lakh\u00a0pilgrims this year by\u00a0this point of time.<\/p>\n<p>Though the J&amp;K state govt, SASB and J&amp;K Police and Indian Security Forces are trying hard to maintain the normalcy in public life and the Annual Amarnath Yatra, the Pak sponsored separatists groups are trying to make various obstacles to hamper the public life and the pilgrimage both.
