{"id":15653,"date":"2016-08-11T09:52:59","date_gmt":"2016-08-11T04:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org?p=15650&amp;preview_id=15650"},"modified":"2016-08-11T09:52:59","modified_gmt":"2016-08-11T04:22:59","slug":"refuting-missionary-preachers-business-of-converting-hindus-part-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=15653","title":{"rendered":"Refuting Missionary Preachers&#8217; Business of Converting Hindus &#8211; Part 1 &#8211; Hindu Post"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>At Hindu temples, malls, convention centers and other public places, you may often\u00a0see a stranger accosting you with sweet smiling face carrying a leather cased book.\u00a0Similar to marketing persons, they look humble, trying to establish eye contact and in\u00a0spirit of good manners if you respond back with smile they would grab the\u00a0opportunity to engage in a conversation.\u00a0 When the intention to convert becomes\u00a0obvious in such conversations, some Hindus choose to immediately step-away or\u00a0silently listen and ignore.<\/p>\n<p>While both these approaches are common, are probably the best\u00a0ways to avoid argument on face and help in minding our own business, <strong>they might not\u00a0work for those who feel helpless and want to do something about it without losing\u00a0dignity, and wish to prevent such narcissist preachers in approaching someone in\u00a0future.<\/strong><span id=\"more-3706\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Behind every supremacist missionary preacher involved in\u00a0business of religious conversion, lies a deep sense of inferiority\u00a0complex, identity crisis and insecurity.\u00a0 Instead of turning a blind\u00a0eye, refuting and disproving such missionary preachers will not\u00a0only checkmate their narcissist tendencies, but also help in\u00a0respecting diversity and peaceful co-existence of all religions.<\/p>\n<p>For those who wish to take that extra step of refuting them and want to teach good lesson\u00a0to these supremacist preachers, here are some conversion tactics that are\u00a0commonly used by Christian missionaries and how you can refute them with dignity by cross-questioning.\u00a0 Keeping in mind Hindu Dharma\u2019s spirit of respecting every religion, the\u00a0following refuting techniques are outlined.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Conversion Tactic # \u201cFalse God\u201d Concept<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Initiative to convert someone into one\u2019s faith, comes from feeling of deep insecurity\u00a0and from profound inferiority complex.\u00a0 This leads them to believe that \u2018My God is\u00a0True\u2019 and \u2018Other Gods are False\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Missionary Preacher<\/strong>: How many gods are there in Hinduism? (Intention of this\u00a0question is to impress upon you that there is only one God and how their religion\u00a0believes in praying only one True god and rest are false Gods).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hindu Refuting<\/strong>: There are more than 1 billion people who believe Allah is only God,\u00a0more than 1 billion people believe Jesus is only way to God.\u00a0 In the same way over 1 billion don\u2019t believe in God.<\/p>\n<p>According to bible, Jehovah is the one and only God, and Jesus is the only way to reach him.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Quote Bible verses:\u00a0 Isaiah 45:21:\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cThere is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><em>John 14:6<\/em><em>:<\/em><em>\u00a0\u201cI am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.\u201d) <\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to Quran, Allah is only one God and true God.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Quran verses: Quran, 5:73: \u201cThey do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.\u201dQuran 5:75, \u201cChrist the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make his signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!\u201d) <\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are atheists who believe there exists no God.<\/p>\n<p>Out of these three groups, if one group is correct then other two groups are wrong.\u00a0 If one God is correct, another God is False.\u00a0 <strong><em>How come God becomes False<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>Hindu Dharma preaches universal spiritualism of Brahman.\u00a0 Brahman is an all-inclusive concept that resides in everyone including those who don\u2019t believe.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brahman is in every mother who creates, nurtures and protects us in physical form. That\u2019s why we call mother \u201cMatrudevo Bhavah\u201d and see divinity in mother. Similarly, in father, teacher as well.<\/li>\n<li>Brahman is Universal, all-expansive ultimate reality which creates all, lives in all, and transcends all.<\/li>\n<li>Brahman is in cosmos and resides in each one of us, including you, me, our parents, our gurus, earth, sun, water, stone and air. Realization of such Brahman in you is possible with <em>Adhyatma Vidya.\u00a0<\/em> There are spiritual masters who attained this stage during all times to guide the rest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Indrammitramvaru Namagnim\u00e3huh, athodivyahsasupar Nogarutm\u00e3n,<\/em><em><br \/>\nekam sad vipr\u00e3h bahudh\u00e3 vadanti,agnimyamamm\u00e3tari \u2019\u0161v\u00e3nam\u00e3huh. (Rigveda 1.164.46)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>They hail Him as Indra, as Mitra, as Varuna, as Agni, also as that divine and noble-winged Garutm\u00e3n. It is of One Existence that the wise ones speak in diverse ways, whether as Agni, or as Yama, or as M\u00e3tari\u2019\u0161v\u00e3n<\/p>\n<p>There is <strong>NO FALSE God<\/strong> concept. Its all about realizing absolute truth that Brahman is within you and in everyone.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Conversion Tactic # \u201cGood News\u201d approach<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Good news tactic is where a missionary preacher approaches you with an intention to save you from God\u2019s curse on humanity for the sin committed by Adam and Eve.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Missionary Preacher:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Have you heard of Original Sin? (Explains how God first created Adam and Eve as immortal (no death) beings. God then asked them not to eat a particular Apple in Garden of Eden.\u00a0 After which how Adam and Eve ate apple due to which they became mortal (death) and have sinned by not following instructions of God. Due to this, entire humanity as descendants of Adam &amp; Eve carry burden of original sin.\u00a0 Good news is that this sin can be redeemed if one affirms Jesus as Savior.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Hindu Refuting:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Will a responsible God keep Apple (cause of mortality) near his children Adam &amp; Eve? Will you as a responsible father keep poison beside your children and wash off your responsibility by instructing them not to drink the poison?<\/p>\n<p>What kind of a God punishes children for fault of parents (Adam &amp; Eve)? Even in modern society, children are not punished for criminal activity of a parent.<\/p>\n<p>Have you heard about Hindu \u201cBetter News\u201d?
