{"id":15733,"date":"2016-08-11T14:31:05","date_gmt":"2016-08-11T09:01:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org?p=15730&amp;preview_id=15730"},"modified":"2016-08-11T14:31:05","modified_gmt":"2016-08-11T09:01:05","slug":"big-turnout-at-national-hindu-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=15733","title":{"rendered":"Big Turnout At National Hindu Talks | Fiji Sun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From left: National President of Hindu Council of Fiji Mr Jay Dayal, His Excellency Mr Vishvas Sapkal the High Commissioner of India, Mr Kamlesh Arya of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji and Mr Virendra Lal of Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The third National Hindu conference attracted all Hindu volunteers, organisations and temples to showcase their contribution to Fiji.<\/p>\n<p>The event at Studio 6 in Suva yesterday drew at least 200 delegates from Government agencies, businesses, volunteers and Hindu organisations.<\/p>\n<p>President of Vishva Hindu Parishad(VHP) Fiji, Jay Dayal said: \u201cThe conference provided a platform to address how successful Hindus have been serving their communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was in line with our conference theme \u2018Serving Community, Serving Fiji.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the forum provided fruitful discussion on activities and outcomes carried out in communities and their commitment to volunteering.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Patel said the one of the major task undertaken by the VHP was their enormous involvement in the relief work for post Cyclone Winston.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur members exercised all due care to reach out to people irrespective of their race, religion or creed,\u201d Mr Dayal said.<\/p>\n<p>High Commissioner of India to Fiji, Shri Vishvas Sapkal, said it was heartening to note that people of Fiji had retained their cultural values and developed organisations to preserve and sustain them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is noteworthy that VHP is trying to make Hindi society aware of the various issues concerning them and building unity amongst people.<\/p>\n<p>Edited by Naisa Koroi<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From left: National President of Hindu Council of Fiji Mr Jay Dayal, His Excellency Mr Vishvas Sapkal the High Commissioner of India, Mr Kamlesh Arya of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji and Mr Virendra Lal of Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji.
