A priest in an age-old temple in Sambhal district has started an innovative way to ensure \u2018proper darshan\u2019 of the deity to devotees through WhatsApp. <\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mahant Murali Singh of Siddhpeeth Chamunda Devi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lucknow\/now-temple-darshan-via-whatsapp\/story-8TJ5AeveP8eB6dkYCjExlK.html\">Temple<\/a> in Hallu Sarai said since the doors of the temple were closed, it became difficult to allow devotees at the temple for Navratri festival.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut we have found a way to ensure live \u2018darshan\u2019 of the deity via WhatsApp,\u201d he said adding devotees were provided \u2018darshan\u2019 for 20 to 30 seconds regularly at their homes.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cA WhatsApp number has been issued and a board mentioning it has been hung on the main entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will ensure that darshan continues all through the lockdown period,\u201d the priest said. \u201cThis Siddhpeeth is 800-years-old and the temple has never been closed,\u201d the priest claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-very-light-gray-background-color\">Image Source: www.republicworld.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mahant Murali Singh of Siddhpeeth Chamunda Devi Temple in Hallu Sarai said since the doors of the temple were closed, it became difficult to allow devotees at the temple for Navratri festival, Hindustan Times has reported.
