The temple\u2019s trust committee and the district administration on Saturday has taken a decision in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n<p> District magistrate (DM) Saurabh Jorewal <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/patna\/no-chhath-celebrations-at-deo-temple\/articleshow\/74866932.cms\">said<\/a>\u00a0\u201cLakhs of devotees from all over Bihar and other states visit the Deo Chaiti Chhath Mela, bathe in the holy \u2018Surya Kund\u2019 and offer \u2018arghya\u2019. They are likely to get infected by coronavirus. Hence, the fair will not be organized this year and the temple and the temple and the \u2018kund\u2019 will remain shut.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p> This is for the first time that the Chhath Puja is not being celebrated at the Sun temple. Deo\u2019s Up-pramukh Manish Pathak\u00a0said, \u201cAll roads have been blocked to prevent the entry of outsiders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Amid the coronavirus lockdown, many devotees from Patna have decided not to celebrate Chaiti Chhath this time. Others will keep it low-key due to the lack of resources.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/patna\/no-chhath-celebrations-at-deo-temple\/articleshow\/74866932.cms\"> Sarita Devi<\/a> (55), a resident of Rajiv Nagar, will not be able to celebrate Chaiti Chhath for the first time in\u00a015 years. She said, \u201cThis festival means a lot to me and my family.
