An atrocious tale\u00a0of murder, sexual abuse and cheating reportedly\u00a0by a Christian priest, Pastor Millan Singh, has emerged from in & around Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.<\/p>\n

The case came\u00a0out in open during the Madras\u00a0High Court hearing on a habeas corpus petition filed by C Gnanaiah, (50) an agricultural laborer and father of G. Anbu Stella (24) who was missing since Sept 2010. It seems<\/a>\u00a0police in Tirunelveli had been\u00a0dodging the father for a year citing jurisdictional issues.<\/p>\n

Pastor Millan Singh has been\u00a0arrested\u00a0for allegedly sexually assaulting and murdering G. Anbu Stella and attempting to murder another woman, K. Gandhimathi (30).\u00a0During interrogation, the police came to know that he had reportedly cheated more than 40 women<\/strong> by taking money from them under the pretext of getting them a job.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pastor\u2019s wife, Jeevitha, has also been held for helping him in committing the crime. The police said on Wednesday that Millan Singh (46), a differently abled preacher from Ukkirankottai near Manur, was running a church at Narippaiyur in Ramanathapuram district. He reportedly took Rs. 4.50 lakh and 15 sovereigns of gold ornaments from K. Gandhimathi (30) of Shanthi Nagar in Palayamkottai on the promise of getting her a government job.<\/p>\n

Later, Gandhimathi realised that Millan Singh had cheated her. She contacted him 10 days ago and enquired about the delay in getting the \u2018appointment order.\u2019 Millan Singh asked her to come to Sankarankovil to collect the \u2018order.\u2019 When Ms. Gandhimathi reached Sankarankovil, Millan Singh took her in his car to the government office. When they were about reach the office, he pushed her out of the speeding car and escaped.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms. Gandhimathi, who sustained injuries, filed a complaint with Sankarankovil Town police, who picked up Millan Singh for interrogation.<\/p>\n

During interrogation, the police came to know that he had reportedly cheated more than 40 women by taking money from them in a similar manner. In one such case, G. Anbu Stella (24) of Sankarankovil approached Millan Singh with the hope of getting government employment. As he promised to get her a job, she reportedly gave him Rs. 2 lakh.<\/p>\n

Millan Singh is also reported to have developed an intimate relationship with Anbu Stella, as a result of which she became pregnant. Anbu Stella compelled him to marry her. But, Millan Singh, with the help of Jeevitha, took her to Kaveripakkam and allegedly murdered her some time back.<\/strong> Anbu Stella\u2019s father Gnanam, who could not contact her, filed a complaint with Kuruvikulam police against Millan Singh. During investigation, the murder of Anbu Stella came to light. Subsequently, Kaveripakkam police arrested Millan Singh and Jeevitha.<\/p>\n

Millan Singh was produced in a court, which remanded him in judicial custody in Palayamkottai Central Prison.\u201d<\/p>\n

While hearing the petition filed by\u00a0C Gnanaiah,\u00a0Madras High Court judges said<\/a> that his daughter (G. Anbu Stella) could have been alive if the police had taken prompt action on the complaint lodged by him last year itself.<\/p>\n

As per Tamil media reports, Milan Singh is\u00a0a Pastor in Living God\u2019s Church, Narippayyur, Ramnad, TN. It staggers belief that national media, especially TV channels, has barely covered this news\u00a0while they prefer to obsess over gau-rakshaks, JNU politics and release of Bollywood movies. No one has approached CBCI (Catholic Bishops Council of India) or any other leading Christian body for their views on Pastor Millan Singh. No one has cornered\u00a0the Tamil Nadu police &\u00a0administration\u00a0for their\u00a0apathetic response to a poor father\u2019s pleas for justice.<\/p>\n
