{"id":36319,"date":"2017-02-13T19:49:50","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T14:19:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=36319"},"modified":"2017-02-13T19:49:50","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T14:19:50","slug":"consciousness-of-everything-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=36319","title":{"rendered":"Consciousness of Everything"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You might have heard of the term \u201cInternet of Everything\u201d and how this is going to alter the future of how the world functions.\u00a0 This is fundamentally based on the value that can be created when a large array of devices are connected to the internet.\u00a0 Did you know that everything in the universe has always been connected?\u00a0 Imagine the effectiveness and efficiency with which you can live life if you are able to tap into this network.\u00a0 This article shares this truth as revealed in the Upanishads.<\/p>\n<h2>The feeling of separation<\/h2>\n<p>If you feel there is something other than you existing, you may have fear or feeling.\u00a0 If you feel the other part will complete you, you will start developing romance towards it.\u00a0 If you think the other part will be threatening you, you will start developing fear towards it.<\/p>\n<h2>The concept you have about you<\/h2>\n<p>The concept you have about you plays a very important, major role, in the way you live, the way you exist.\u00a0 What you experience about you decides your attitude about life.<\/p>\n<h2>Consciousness of Everything<\/h2>\n<p>The sixth verse of the Ishavashya Upanishad declares \u201cOne who, indeed, lives by seeing as it is the whole Existence, all manifest and unmanifest beings existing in the Consciousness itself, and the Consciousness existing in the whole Existence, thus does not feel violated or hates anything existing, by virtue of not seeing oneself as separate from Consciousness.\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>The truth is \u201ceverything exists in you and you exist in everything\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>The authority of Upanishads<\/h2>\n<p>The above statement is one of the most important principles of Vedic Tradition.\u00a0 You might have heard of this in many books, but you should not mistake hearing this same principle in many books and hearing it from the Upanishads. \u00a0Upanishads is the ultimate declaration.\u00a0 It is God speaking.\u00a0 Same word, when it is said by different people, it has different value.<\/p>\n<h2>The key to making change happen<\/h2>\n<p>Everyone is ultimately a mirror of you, and if you change, everyone will change.\u00a0 Don\u2019t think in a roundabout way: \u2018If everyone changes, I will also change.\u2019\u00a0 Start from you.\u00a0 Everyone will also start changing.\u00a0 This becomes a beautiful virtuous circle in you.\u00a0 But if you are waiting for the change to happen from the other, others will not change; because of that, you will not change.\u00a0 It will become a vicious circle.<br \/>\n<strong>Two methods<\/strong><br \/>\nThe truth is \u201ceverything exists in you\u201d. There are two methods to realize this truth.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Witness the body and mind from outside<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you feel, \u2018Everything exists in me\u2019, fear and greed will start coming up.\u00a0 \u2018Oh, if everything exists in me, why will the tiger attack me?\u00a0 Why will the lion attack me?\u2019<br \/>\nWith this method, you will think, \u2018No, I will see my body and mind separately.\u00a0 Whatever happens, happens. It is just Existence.\u00a0 If this body needs to be alive, that will leave it alive. \u00a0Otherwise it will kill.\u2019<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Everything has the same consciousness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2018No, this body and that body, both have same Consciousness, and with this clarity I will decide what that body has to do and this body has to do, and make it function smoothly.\u2019<\/p>\n<h2>Living from the cognition that \u201ceverything exists in me\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>The understanding that happens by using these methods, when it becomes matured cognition, they manifest as powers in you.
