{"id":37076,"date":"2017-02-15T17:03:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-15T11:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=37076"},"modified":"2017-02-15T17:03:11","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T11:33:11","slug":"india-takes-recurring-attack-hindus-issue-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=37076","title":{"rendered":"India takes up recurring \u2018Attack on Hindus\u2019 issue with Bangladesh."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Status of minority Hindus in Bangladesh &amp; brutal attack on them, has now been considered\u00a0as an important concern in Indian Parliament too.<br \/>\nConfirming that Hindu minorities have been targeted in neighbouring Bangladesh, the Centre on Wednesday (Feb 8) clarified that it has taken up the issue with the Government of Bangladesh.<br \/>\nMinister of State for External Affairs Gen (retd) Dr VK Singh in a Lok Sabha reply said that sporadic incidents of violence against members of the minority community and on their properties and places of worship have been reported in Bangladesh.<br \/>\nTwo BJP MPs had put up the question to the External Affairs Minister regarding the \u2018Status of Hindus in Bangladesh\u2019 on Wednesday, Feb 8.<br \/>\nThrough unstarred Question No. 987, \u00a0Shri Om Birla (BJP MP from Kota-Bundi constituency of Rajasthan) and \u00a0Shri Chandu Lala Sahu (BJP MP from Mahasamund constituency of Chhattisgarh) wanted to know:<br \/>\n(a) whether Hindus in Bangladesh are\u00a0allegedly undergoing harassment;<br \/>\n(b) if so, the details thereof including\u00a0the response of the Government in this regard;<br \/>\n(c) whether the Government has\u00a0initiated any talks with Bangladesh Government for safety and security of minority Hindus there; and (d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?<br \/>\nMinister of State for External Affairs Gen (retd) Dr VK Singh in a Lok Sabha reply said:<br \/>\n\u201cThe Government of India closely monitors incidents targeting the religious, socioeconomic and political freedom and general well being of minorities, including Hindus, in Bangladesh. India\u0092s concerns and sensitivities with regard to such incidents have been conveyed to the Bangladesh Government.<br \/>\n\u201cThe primary responsibility for the protection of life, liberty and property of all citizens of Bangladesh, including minorities, rests with the Government of Bangladesh. The Government of Bangladesh has made it clear that it takes these attacks very seriously and that stern action would be taken against the perpetrators\u201d.<br \/>\nInterestingly, when Two non-Bengali MPs from Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh has paid a concern on the tortured Hindus in Bangladesh, no Bengali MPs from West Bengal (including two BJP MPs \u00a0from Bengal) showed \u00a0any little responsibility to raise such issue in Parliament!<br \/>\nUpananda Brahmachari, Editor, Hindu Existence and prominent Hindu Rights Interlocutor congratulated the BJP MPs from\u00a0Kota-Bundi and\u00a0Mahasamund to raise the important issue of \u201cHindu Persecution in Islamic Bangladesh\u201d in Indian Parliament in a very right manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Status of minority Hindus in Bangladesh &amp; brutal attack on them, has now been considered\u00a0as an important concern in Indian Parliament too.
