The Prime Minister will unveil a 112-ft statue of Adiyogi as part of Mahashivaratri celebrations at Isha Yoga Centre here. An additional police deployment of 5,000 from various districts will be made.<br \/>\nAccording to police, Modi will reach Coimbatore around 5.30 pm on Friday and head to Isha Yoga Centre in Poluvampatty in a helicopter, either from the Coimbatore International Airport or Sulur Air Force Station.<br \/>\nHe will participate in the Mahashivaratri programme from 6 pm to 7 pm, and will reach the Coimbatore International Airport via helicopter. He will leave the city by 7.40 pm.<br \/>\n\u201cThough Prime Minister\u2019s travel plans are fixed, Sulur Airforce Station has also been asked to stay ready with an alternative plan, in case of any technical glitch,\u201d an intelligence officer said.<br \/>\nThe 5,000 police personnel on security duty and the Special Protection Group (SPG) are likely to reach the city on Wednesday. The SPG will also hold a meeting with the local police personnel.<br \/>\n\u201cSoon after the meeting, from Wednesday night onwards, the entire area where the programme is scheduled to be held will come under the control of the SPG personnel,\u201d Coimbatore Rural Police said.<br \/>\nIntelligence officials said Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were scheduled to attend the function on Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COIMBATORE:\u00a0The city police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure maximum security in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s visit here on Friday.
