On Saturday,\u00a0Union Minister of State for AYUSH<\/a><\/strong> Shripad Yasso Naik y said yoga therapy\u00a0can cure major diseases like cancer. He also said that the government could come out with scientific evidence on this matter within a year.In the inauguration ceremony of a four-day National AROGYA fair at Panaji<\/a><\/strong> the AYUSH Minister said, \u00a0\u201cIt is a proven fact. We have visited the Bengaluru-based Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA)<\/a><\/strong> institute, where many people told us they have been cured of cancer by regular practice of yoga. The institute has found a technique of yoga for the prevention and cure of cancer<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

S-VYASA mentor and inspiration\u00a0Dr H R Nagendra is a veteran RSS ideologue, proponent of Yoga Research field and believed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s yoga guru.\u00a0S-VYASA is a prime Yoga Research Institute in India controlled by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS).<\/p>\n

The AYUSH Ministry could endorse this alternative cure offered by S-VYASA and prescribe it to people in about a year, Naik said. \u201cAs of now, they (S-VYASA) have not produced documentation, but once they submit it, we will research it. Only after confirming that it is 100 per cent scientific will we endorse it,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n

A National level AROGYA Fair organized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India in association with Goa State Government and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)<\/strong> began in Goa today at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium at Goa University Campus at Bambolim near Panaji. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shri ShripadNaik inaugurated the four day conference in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Shri LaxmikantParsekar, Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Anant Shet, Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Francis DSouza, Forest Minister ShRajendraArlekar, Science and Technology Minister Ms. Alina Saldanha and leader of opposition Shri Pratap Singh Rane.<\/p>\n

On this event\u00a0Shripad Yesso Naik also released the Yoga Protocol for International Yoga Day 2016<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The AYUSH Minister told to HENB that India is facing a critical hazards of Cancer, Diabetics, Heart Diseases\u00a0 and Hypertension. But, these can be prevented and controlled through taking regular yoga and pranayam practices in a balanced life style rejecting various addiction to tobacco, alcohol and drugs.\u00a0\u00a0He also\u00a0pointed out the Govt\u2019s firm resolution to ensure every citizen\u2019s health through indigenous schools\u00a0of medicine and traditional health practices. \u00a0Naik highlighted the Indian ethos of \u2018plain living and high thinking\u2019 in a grand harmony of Yoga and Ayurveda as a boon of Mother Nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
