Its priests say that a visit to the temple can cure one of fear and bad luck. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to pay his first visit to the temple and is expected to spend nearly an hour there.<br \/>\nModi had visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple after winning the 2014 elections but not Kal Bhairav, considered the \u2018Kotwal\u2019 of Kashi. \u201cA visit to Kashi is incomplete without visiting Kal Bhairav.<br \/>\nLet the PM come here once. After that, none of his work will stop and all impediments will go,\u201d the priest at Kal Bhairav, Shivam Goswami told ET.<br \/>\n\u201cOne will fear no one after this. All diseases go away. Sab daridra dur ho jata hai (all laziness and disease go away),\u201d Goswami said.<br \/>\nOutside the temple\u2019s gate, a young Sudhir Saini and his family have been selling garlands for decades. He proudly wears BJP\u2019s lotus symbol on his shirt. \u201cModiji will cross me as he goes in and comes out.<br \/>\nI am a BJP supporter. This is dream come true,\u201d he says. Top UP police officials visited the Kal Bhairav temple on Thursday for preparations of the PM\u2019s visit.<br \/>\nAnother interesting stop on Modi\u2019s probable itinerary could be the Gadwaghat Math on the banks of the Ganga, the ashram of Sant Shri Sarnanadji Maharaj, the fourth Sant of the Ashram set up in 1930. Modi knows the Maharaj, Ashram\u2019s senior functionary Dharm Darshanand told ET.<br \/>\nHere, the PM is slated to meet the Maharaj besides visiting the Samadhi of Swami Aatam Vivekanandji who set up this Ashram and where a hospital and school are run. Preparations are on here too to make the PM\u2019s probable visit a well-attended one.<br \/>\nLater, Modi is also expected to have an hour-long discussion with prominent intellectuals, influencers and opinion-makers of Varanasi on the evening of March 5 and will spend the night in the city.<br \/>\nThe district administration is negotiating with both BJP and SPCongress alliance leaders to avoid a clash of Modi\u2019s route to the Kashi Vishwanath and Kal Bhairav temples on March 4 evening, with the joint road show of Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Dimple Yadav scheduled for the same day.<br \/>\nModi is expected to spend three days in Varanasi and hold three rallies, more than the time he devoted during the Lok Sabha election campaign.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VARANASI: In a narrow winding lane of Varanasi is located the revered Shiv temple of Kal Bhairav.
