{"id":50741,"date":"2017-03-14T21:09:39","date_gmt":"2017-03-14T15:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=50741"},"modified":"2017-03-14T21:09:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-14T15:39:39","slug":"women-characters-play-vital-role-in-ramayana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=50741","title":{"rendered":"Women characters play vital role in Ramayana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tirupati, 14 March 2017: The speakers on the second day of the ongoing three day Srimad Valmiki Ramayana Sadassu advocated that the women characters play a vital role in Ramayana.<br \/>\nSpeaking in the conference held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram under the aegis of Puranetihasa Project of TTD on Tuesday on \u201cRole of women in Ramayana\u201d, renowned scholar Smt Dhulipala Mahadevamani said, the characters of Sita, Kausalya, Sumitra, Kaikeyi, Mandhara, Surasa, Ahalya etc.are being portrayed to impact on the real life style. \u201cEach character is an example of the attitude and behaviour of humans and especially women\u201d, she said.<br \/>\nDr KV Ranganayaki another scholar said, it is Sita who stood behind Sri Rama and made him the most revered King of India in terms of character, attitude, administration.<br \/>\nWhile scholars Sri Sreenivasacharyulu, Sri Pada Subrahmanyam described Sri Rama as \u201cRamo vigrahavan dharmaha\u201d and hence attained the status of almighty though he was born as a human being.
