{"id":50801,"date":"2017-03-14T23:25:25","date_gmt":"2017-03-14T17:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=50801"},"modified":"2017-03-14T23:25:25","modified_gmt":"2017-03-14T17:55:25","slug":"government-digitally-recreate-heritage-buildings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=50801","title":{"rendered":"Government To Digitally Recreate Heritage Buildings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a bid to promote the countrys architectural heritage, the central government will be digitally recreating monuments using 3D technology, an official said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<div>At an Assocham event on &#8220;Artificial Intelligence (AI) &amp; Robotics&#8221;, Union Science and Technology Secretary Ashutosh Sharma said India needed to deeply think of using Artificial Intelligence to fulfill its need for creating two crore jobs annually.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D), (under a project) recreated the lost city of Hampi, 3D printed it and also embedded all the information related to the monuments, sculptures, their whole history,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;We (Union Science and Technology Ministry) are going to reproduce using the same technology now to all the monuments,&#8221; he added.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Emphasising the impact of Artificial Intelligence on sectors like education and healthcare, Mr Sharma called for &#8220;strong policy statements&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;To deal with the future, we need to modify existing policies and introduce new elements and policies,&#8221; the minister said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We certainly need best of our technologists, scientists, even social scientists, economists to think very deeply about using artificial intelligence to generate jobs,&#8221; he added.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a bid to promote the countrys architectural heritage, the central government will be digitally recreating monuments using 3D technology, an official said on Thursday.
