And moreover, the shadow\u00a0cannot be removed by standing in front of \u00a0or blocking any single pillar.<\/p>\n<p>Centuries later the mystery has been solved by modern physicists as an application of the diffraction of light around\u00a0various pillars\u00a0of the temple so that collectively they cast a dark region\u00a0in the same place irrespective of where the sun is !!! \u00a0 Though we can explain the phenomenon now, it is surely a daunting task even now to recreate such a precise implementation. \u00a0The very phenomenon of light bending around the edges of objects was discovered only in the 17th century- an good 700 years after this temple.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hinduismnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Chaya-Someswara-Swamy-Temple-in-Nalgonda-3.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3741\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3741\" src=\"http:\/\/hinduismnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Chaya-Someswara-Swamy-Temple-in-Nalgonda-3-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Chaya-Someswara-Swamy-Temple-in-Nalgonda-3\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a>Wikipedia says:<br \/>\n<em>The eleventh century architect might be aware of light diffraction and he constructed the temple in such a way that the light enters the inner chamber diffracting through two narrow passages on either side of the pillars in front of the chamber.
