{"id":516,"date":"2020-03-06T05:01:44","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T10:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-global-press.pantheonsite.io\/?p=516"},"modified":"2020-03-06T05:01:44","modified_gmt":"2020-03-06T10:01:44","slug":"up-govt-plans-to-stop-welfare-schemes-benefits-to-people-with-more-than-two-children-to-control-rising-population","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=516","title":{"rendered":"UP Govt plans to Stop Welfare Schemes\u2019 Benefits To People With More Than Two Children To Control Rising Population"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"color:#516473;font-size:14px\" class=\"has-text-color\"> UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh on Wednesday (4 March) said that the new population policy of the state was on the anvil,\u00a0reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/swarajyamag.com\/insta\/up-govt-may-stop-welfare-schemes-benefits-to-people-with-more-than-two-children-to-control-rising-population-report\">SWARAJYA<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Uttar Pradesh<\/strong>:  To control the increasing population in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led state government is planning to bring a new population policy, which could have provisions including not allowing people with more than two children to avail benefits of state\u2019s welfare schemes or contest panchayat elections. <\/p>\n\n\n<p> \u201cPopulation policy of different states is being studied and the best from them is being culled out for our state which is the most populous in India,\u201d He said<\/p>\n\n\n<p> He further added that a group of experts is reviewing a draft of the population policy, which was last revised in 2000. <\/p>\n\n\n<p> State\u2019s Family Welfare director-general Dr Badri Vishal, said that while the southern states of the country have been able to control their population, the northern states are still struggling.<\/p>\n\n\n<p> \u201cSeveral states, particularly Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh &#8211; which are smaller than us in terms of population &#8211; have rolled out schemes to de-incentivise too many children. In both the states, those with more than two children cannot contest panchayat elections.
