Shingnapur is also famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors, only door frames. This Shani Shingnapur is visited daily by thousands of devotees praying for Lord Shaneswara’s favour. The place is busiest on Saturdays. Shani Trayodasi is considered to be a favorite day for the lord. There has been protests going on asking for entry into this temple however women are NOT bared from entering this temple.
we present you this pic exclusively from the official website of the temple.

But yes,The shrine does not allow women to worship (this tradition is followed from several hundred years) in the shrine for Shani, which consists of a five and a half feet high black rock installed on an open-air platform, which symbolizes the god Shani. There are barricades and only men can worship. As per scriptures, the chastity of women is very delicate. It can be maligned even by the moonlight. Women prefer to stay away from Shani Dev’s idol as a mark of respect. It is said that touching Shani Dev’s idol during pregnancy is bad for the foetus. Nobody visits the Shani temple during the prosperous times.

2)Who is Trupti Desai, and her motives
As per reports Trupti Desai who is leading protests is an “activist” and had contested Pune municipal Polls in 2012 on congress ticket, she was also part of campaign by Anna hazare which indicates what her plans are, she is not just an activist rather a political activist, aspiring to be like that of Kejriwal or even Hardik Patel of Maharashtra? The fact that only that particular temple, which attracts nearly 30000 devotees a day and up-to 3 lac on special days, raises eyebrows about Trupti desai’s campaign and her ulterior motives

3)Look who took his wife to the temple

Mr Shashi tharoor congress MP had taken her wife Sunanada to the temple and had tweeted on the same, then where is the question of women NOT being allowed into the temple

Wonderful visit 2 open-air temple to Saturn at Shani Shingnapur.
