{"id":619,"date":"2020-03-07T06:29:34","date_gmt":"2020-03-07T11:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-global-press.pantheonsite.io\/?p=619"},"modified":"2020-03-07T06:29:34","modified_gmt":"2020-03-07T11:29:34","slug":"police-complaint-filed-against-wall-street-journal-for-publishing-fake-news-on-ib-sleuth-ankit-sharmas-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=619","title":{"rendered":"Police complaint filed against Wall Street Journal for publishing fake news on IB Sleuth Ankit Sharma\u2019s murder"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A police complaint has been filed with the Delhi Police as well as the Maharashtra Police against the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) for \u201cdefaming a particular religion and spreading communal tension by misreporting on the Delhi riots and the killing of IB staffer Ankit Sharma,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindupost.in\/media\/police-complaints-filed-against-wall-street-journal-for-spreading-fake-news-on-death-of-ib-officer-ankit-sharma\/\">Hindu Post<\/a> has reported.<\/p>\n\n\n<p> \u201cPolice complaints <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindupost.in\/media\/police-complaints-filed-against-wall-street-journal-for-spreading-fake-news-on-death-of-ib-officer-ankit-sharma\/\">filed<\/a> against The Wall Street Journal with @DelhiPolice &amp; Maharashtra Police for \u2018defaming particular religion &amp; spreading communal tension\u2019 with respect to alleged misreporting on #DelhiViolence &amp; murder of IB official Ankit Sharma,\u201d national broadcaster Prasar Bharti said in a tweet. <\/p>\n\n\n<p> According to WSJ report : \u201cMr Sharma was returning home when a group of rioters started throwing stones and charged into the street near where his house is located, his brother said.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n<p>The WSJ wrote as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindupost.in\/media\/police-complaints-filed-against-wall-street-journal-for-spreading-fake-news-on-death-of-ib-officer-ankit-sharma\/\">quoting<\/a> Ankit&#8217;s brother,  \u201cThey came armed with stones, rods, knives and even swords; they shouted \u2018Jai Shri Ram\u2019\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n<p>But as per Prasar Bharti Ankit&#8217;s brother had never given any such statement to Wall Street Journal. <\/p>\n\n\n<p> In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindupost.in\/media\/police-complaints-filed-against-wall-street-journal-for-spreading-fake-news-on-death-of-ib-officer-ankit-sharma\/\">conversation<\/a> with Prasar Bharati, he discredited WSJ report, saying: \u201cI never gave such a statement to the Wall Street Journal. This is a ploy to defame my brother and my family.
