Dhaka | June 15, 2016::<\/strong><\/span> A young Hindu college lecturer of Mathematics was critically injured by some fanatic Muslim criminals in Madaripur Sadar upazila this afternoon.<\/p>\n

One of the brute attackers, Golam Faizullah, was caught by the locals while fleeing after the attack. He was later handed over to police, reports our Madaripur correspondent quoting police. (Perhaps, BD Police is trying hard to give\u00a0 the bail of the fanatic attacker!)<\/em><\/p>\n

The injured Hindu fellow is identified as Ripan Chakraborty, a lecturer of Govt Nazimuddin University College in the district, our local correspondent reports quoting Ziaul Murshed, officer-in-charge of Madaripur Sadar Police Station.<\/p>\n

A group of Muslim criminals knocked on the door of Ripan\u2019s house near the college campus around 4:30pm and started indiscriminate stabbing on him when he opened the door, said Prof Hiten Chandra Mandal, principal of the college. The style of attacks resembles with the\u00a0 Jamiat-ul-Mujaheedin-Bangladesh (a local operative of Islamic state in Bangladesh) method of hacking the Kaffirs as believed.<\/p>\n

Ripan, who hailed from Agailjhara upazila of Barisal, was first rushed to Madaripur Sadar hospital. Later, he was shifted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical condition, the College principal added.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had four deep wounds in his head and several other wounds all over his body and in critical condition\u201d said Dr Abu Safar Hawlader, medical officer of Madaripur Sadar hospital.<\/p>\n

The reason behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately, the OC said adding that police detained a person in connection with the ghastly attack.<\/p>\n

A source said that Chakroborty was sympathetic to the activists working on minority rights in Bangladesh and expressed his doubt today about any return of IS Chief Baghdadi, who is believed to be killed in Mosul in an US air attack.<\/strong><\/a> This \u2018alleged remarks on Baghdadi\u2019 might enraged the Islamic nerve of the perpetrators to attack a liberal Hindu college teacher.<\/p>\n

Today various Hindu student forums sat on a Dharna on Shahbag Road near National\u00a0 Museum and BSMMU to register their protest over the serial Jihadi killings of Hindu & Buddhists priests and Ashram workers, Christian preacher, NGO members, Rights activists, bloggers and liberals in Bangladesh. The students blocked road there till police came to clear the blockade.<\/p>\n
