{"id":78957,"date":"2017-07-13T16:30:39","date_gmt":"2017-07-13T11:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globalpress.hinduismnow.org\/?p=78957"},"modified":"2017-07-13T16:30:39","modified_gmt":"2017-07-13T11:00:39","slug":"pics-colorful-rath-yatra-sweden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalpress-new.hinduismnow.org\/?p=78957","title":{"rendered":"In Pics: The Colorful &#8220;Rath Yatra&#8221; in Sweden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marie Mandakini Spennare of Hindu Forum Sweden shared some pictures of this year\u2019s Rath Yatra that took place in Stockholm Sweden on July 8th.<\/p>\n<p>Rath Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath.<\/p>\n<p>The pictures show the happy and Bhakti-filled atmosphere of the gathering which had little children also participating with enthusiasm. There was dance, chanting, and music in honor of Lord Jagannath and the Hindu community of Sweden displayed love for the Lord.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/j\/drl\/rls\/irf\/2005\/51583.htm\">International Religious Freedom Report<\/a> (IRF)\u00a0of the year 2005 had predicted that there are some 7,000 to 10,000 Hindus
