Says, not only live and let live, we do help those who are unable to live; this is the spirit of Indian tradition.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kolkata | Feb 21, 2016::<\/strong> The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated the Centenary Celebrations of the Gaudiya Mission and Math in Kolkata\u2019s Netaji Indoor stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said India\u2019s spiritual consciousness is the reason for its long-standing civilizational ethos. He said this spiritual consciousness had remained intact through the ages.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister said this consciousness transcended even language. The bhajan\u201cVaishnav Jan To Tene Re Kahiye Re\u201d is a prime example of this, he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added the words \u201cVaishnav Jan\u201d could easily be replaced with \u201cJan Pratinidhi\u201d (Public Representatives) in the modern context.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJanpratinidhi Jan To Tene Re Kahiye , Jo <span class=\"st\"> Peed Paraaye Jaane <em>Re<\/em><\/span>\u201d is a prime example of this, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Proclaiming himself to be a perfect disciple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India\u2019s long-standing civilization owes to its spiritual consciousness and it has remained intact through ages.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister was addressing the gathering at the Netaji Indoor Stadium after inaugurating the Centenary Celebration of the Gaudiya Math and Mission here.\u201dIndia after the initiation of the Bhakti movement underwent many a shock but the movement itself was unabated as it was spread by the visionaries like Chaitanya in Bengal, Sankardev in Assam, Nanak in Punjab, Thiruvallavur in Tamil Nadu and so on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Appreciating the Vaishnava philosophy, the Prime Minister said Gaudiya Mission has kept the Vaishnava Tradition glowing and thereby sermonising the great spirit Live and let Live with an addition that one who is lacking the ability to live should be enabled to carry on. In this context he lauded the very type of reform which comes from within and said that Raja Rammohan Roy and Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar are the ideal examples of initiating this kind of a reform.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister, on this occasion, formally released a set of two books on the centenary of Gaudiya Mission.
