INDORE: Ujjain’s Mahakal temple committee on Monday banned the entry of devotees in Bhasmaarti ritual and the sanctum sanctorium in a bid to prevent possible Covid-19 spread.

Directives to this effect were issued by the temple committee during its meeting held to review operations to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.

However the temple priests will continue performing the Bhasmaarti ritual as per schedule.
