Two cattle smugglers have been named including one with Rs 10000 award on his arrest. Idris & Omkar Singh have been booked in FIR no 28/20 under section 3/5A/8 &3/11 of IPC, reported by facebook page Documenting Crimes Against Hindus.

More than 19 incident of cattle smuggling and violence by cattle mafia have been registered in India recently, out of which lot of cows & bulls have been rescued by the police.

These incidents include;

1) Mirzapur Sohra village – Meat mafia gang shot at police during raid during lockdown and arrested with beef, firearms, knives etc. Meat Mafia gang members who were arrested by police – Habibi son of Muhammad Alam, Razi Ahmed, Ahmed Raza

2) Sarurpur Industrial Area – A man narrowly escaped harm when cattle smugglers shot at him for stopping them from stealing cows. Vikas heard the noises when smugglers were loading two cows in their truck. When he raised alarm, the criminals fled in their truck.

3) Mewat Village – An innocent Hindu lost his life at hands of notorious cow smugglers. Raghuvir was walking home when he got entangled in an encounter between police and cow smugglers. He worked at a brick factory and was passing through the area when he got shot in a gunfight between police and meat mafia.

4) Ramkot – 5 cattle smugglers were nabbed while some others managed to flee from their trucks at Ramkot naka after police discovered 70 smuggled cattle(cows & bulls) during checking. The cattle were being smuggled to Kashmir for illegal slaughtering

5) Muzaffarnagar –

a) In latest incidence from Muzaffarnagar, severed head of a cattle has been recovered from drain in Mimlana Road area. At 4.15pm, a passerby noticed the severed head of gau-vansh and raised alarm. The police team under SI Rajendra Vashisht reached the spot and assured the angry crowd that criminals who slaughtered the cow will be arrested soon and buried the remains of carcass.The incident has created communal tension in the area as this is not an isolated incident of such crime in area.

b) A butcher has been caught red handed while one other managed to flee after firing at police team. Podi has been arrested while Nadeem escaped in the shootout. A live cow and slaughtering equipemnt have been recovered by cops.

c) Two cattle smugglers named Shamshad & Sajid who were carrying firearms were nabbed from village Dabhedi. 100kg of cow meat was recovered from them. In a separate incident, Noman, Haneef, Mehboob & Naushad from nearby area. They were carrying 3 pistols and cartridges.

d) 3 cattle smugglers were nabbed after they fired on police team at a check point. A stolen bike, 315 bore pistol and knife were recovered from them. The criminals Shoib, Shabab & Tayyeb had multiple cases of illegal cow slaughter against them.

6) Samba- Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by arresting four bovine smugglers and by rescuing 33 bovines at Basanter river bed, Samba. The accused persons have been identified as Imam Hussain, son of Sher Ali; Teg Ali, son of Syed Ali; Rashid Ali, son of Saraj Din and Nam Hussain, son of Mussa, all resident of Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur and a case vide FIR No. 109/2020 under section 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act registered at Police Station Samba.

7) Gonda – Two cattle smugglers have been named including one with Rs 10000 award on his arrest. Idris & Omkar Singh have been booked in FIR no 28/20 under section 3/5A/8 &3/11 of IPC.

8) Maharajganj – Three cattle smugglers have been arrested after cow carcass was found 25 April. Knieves, weighing scale and a calf have been recovered from their possession. The butchers Shakeel, Akram & Avid Ali have been booked under Arms act, breaking lock-down & hurting religious sentiments. 5 other persons have been booked after confession of these three.
