Baba Ramdev has covered a long distance from being a Yoga Guru to establishing ‘Patanjali’ as a brand in India. Apart from his regular TV and media appearances and involvement in politics, Ramdev has undertaken various other works including setting up a university in Hardwar. The University of Patanjali, one such initiative, has started inviting admission applications for the upcoming session.
The university website states it is “a manifestation of divine vision of His Holiness Swami Ramdev and Honorable Acharya Balkrishna to establish An Integral Center of Education Excellence blending all spectrum of oriental wisdom and scientific knowledge”.
In advertisements given to newspapers on Monday, the University of Patanjali said: “Golden opportunity for young learners aspiring to pursue higher education at graduate and post graduate levels.”

It also states that the university will ensure job placements in India and abroad with a total package ranging from Rs 25,000 to 50,000. The courses offered are BA and MA in Yoga Science, Sanskrit Literature, certificate courses in Yoga therapy among others.
On the other hand, it is also inviting job applications from aspiring candidates to join as faculty in the university. A minimum of 65 per cent marks in Class 12 has been set as eligibility to apply and the last date for applications is July 31.
