Changes in darshan timings of Rameswaram temple announced | Business Standard News

The famous lord Ramanathaswamy temple here, which is thronged by devotees from acros the country, will remain closed for darshan during daytime on August 6 and 12, in view of annual festivals.

On August 6, on the occasion of Adithapasu festival, the temple will be opened at 2 am and closed around 6 am after the idol of goddess Parvathavardhini ambal is take out on a procession, a press release issued by temple Joint Commissioner S Selvaraj said.

The temple will reopen after 5 pm for regular darshan for devotees.

Similarily, on August 12, the temple will be opened at 2 am and closed around 6 am after the idols of the presiding dieties are take out on a procession.

The temple will then reopen at 10 pm, when the routine night poojas will be performed.
