India celebrates Nag Panchami with devotion |NewsX

New Delhi: Nag Panchami is being celebrated across the country with lots of devotion and enthusiasm.

Nag Panchami is a traditional Hindu festival that is celebrated to worship snakes or serpents. As per the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated on the fifth day of bright half of Lunar month of Shravan which falls two days after Hariyali Teej.

Women worship Nag Devta and offer milk to snakes on this day. They worship on this day for the wellness of their brothers and family.
