Mahakal temple priest Ashish Pujari told that the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra was being continuously recited at the famous jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva to help the world fight Covid-19 pandemic, TOI has reported.

Ujjain: Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is the most powerful Sanskrit verse from Rigveda , which can ward off all dangers and kill even deadliest diseases. The holy Vedic verse is being chanted at the famous Mahakal temple of Ujjain to ‘empower the mankind with immense strength to fight the deadly Covid-19′.

Mahakal temple priest Ashish Pujari told that the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra was being continuously recited at the famous jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva to help the world fight Corona pandemic.

According to Hindu spirituality, the Mahamrityunjay mantra is beneficial for mental, emotional and physical health. It bestows the human beings with longevity and immortality, he said.

Earlier, Mahakal temple had restricted the entry of devotees inside the premises, as a precautionary measure to arrest the possible spread of Covid-19. However, the priests are offering prayers and carrying out regular rituals at the temple as usual.
