All places of worship shall be closed for public. No religious congregations will be permitted, without any exception, Swarajya has reported.

Yesterday PM Shri Narendra Modi has taken an important decision of enforcing complete lockdown all over the country to curb the possible spread of deadly corona virus. Going by the statistics of COVID-19 affected countries, fourth and fifth weeks are crucial as it involves mass infection. So keeping in view the safety of all the citizens, PM Modi has taken this major decision of lockdown for next 21 days, said that ‘social distancing’ is the only way to fight the deadly contagion.

During the 21-day lockdown, Union Home Ministry has stipulated that

1. All places of worship shall be closed for public. No religious congregations will be permitted, without any exception.

2.All social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions / gatherings shall be barred.

3. In case of funerals, congregation of not more than twenty persons will be permitted.
