In a press release, TTD chairman reiterated that no camera, even if it belonged to its own employees was allowed to pass beyond the ”Dwajasthambham” inside the Tirumala temple and that there was no question of allowing anyone to shoot a video or capture images of Lord Venkateswara inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Tirumala temple, TOI has reported.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman YV Subba Reddy on Wednesday clarified that no video was taken inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, and underlined that the purported video being circulated by mischief mongers on social media platforms belonged to Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel’s (SVBC) makeshift temple at its studio near Alipiri long back.
The purpose of this video was for illustrative purposes only, meant to educate the devotees on the different kinds of daily/weekly arjitha sevas held at the Tirumala temple.
In a press release, TTD chairman reiterated that no camera, even if it belonged to its own employees was allowed to pass beyond the ”Dwajasthambham” inside the Tirumala temple and that there was no question of allowing anyone to shoot a video or capture images of Lord Venkateswara inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Tirumala temple.
TTD chairman appealed to the devotees to take note that this video does not contain the original images of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple, but of the deity at the makeshift temple at Alipiri.
YV Subba Reddy also warned the mischief mongers behind this episode of criminal action. “TTD will not take such mischief which has misled millions of people of Lord Venkateswara across the globe. We will soon initiate criminal action against all those involved in this ugly act,” he warned.
Meanwhile, extending Sri Ram Navami festival greetings to the devotees worldwide, YV Subba Reddy said the Sri Ram Navami festivities will go on as per the schedule at Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district.
“The nine-day annual Brahmotsavams at the Vontimitta temple will commence on Thursday and end on April 11. TTD will organize the highly revered Sitarama kalyanam on April 7.
Similarly, Srirama navami asthanam will be held at the Tirumala temple as well as other TTD temples across the country,” he asserted.
However, in view of the prohibition imposed on pilgrims from taking part in the annual festivals and visiting TTD temples till April 14, TTD chairman appealed to the devotees to witness the religious proceedings in connection with the annual Srirama navami festival this year, from the comfort of their homes, through TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Bhakti channel.
