A 34-minute video footage was seized by the special investigation team (SIT) of MP police, probing the five cases pertaining to alleged brutality with RSS worker Suresh Yadav in police custody at Baihar town of Balaghat district on September 25.

According to SIT sources, the video contains visuals of medical examination of the RSS worker by two government doctors at Baihar police station on September 25 and his movements without any visible problems in the police station premises.

The visuals were recorded by a videographer for investigation purposes. They have now gone viral over the social media in Balaghat and other districts of MP.

If the visuals and medical report of the two doctors are to be believed, Yadav does not seem to have suffered any life threatening injuries or suspected fracture.

The probe is now midway and has so far seen the seven-member team, headed by Chhatarpur DIG KC Jain, record statements of over 100 people in connection with investigations into the five cases — a case of attempt to murder and loot of the RSS worker by cops led by ASP Rajesh Sharma, trespassing a shop and a house of a man near Baihar police station by cops while nabbing the worker after he fled from custody and two cases of violence by a protesting mob outside the police station.

Around half of the investigations have already been completed as the primary evidence has been collected, while further evidence in support of primary evidences is now been collected, sources added.

SIT members also recorded statements of Yadav at a private hospital in Jabalpur before he was discharged from there.

Protestors being identified

The SIT is in the process of identifying a mob of over 500 protestors who had attacked a police vehicle and an assistant sub-inspector on duty outside the Baihar police station, while the RSS worker was in custody.

The mob included several BJP and RSS leaders, including ex-Baihar MLA Bhagat Netam.

Also under SIT scanner is the possibility of the clothes of RSS worker having been torn by one of his aides to concoct the story of police excesses.
