Falling in love with the utility value that an object, a person or what your own body can provide is easy but it is fleeting. Only when we are aware of the quality that creates the utility and fall in love with it, it becomes eternal.
In life, the first thing we created is the “i” with which we perceive the world. As it has tremendous utility, we fall in love with it. In the process, we forget that we have access to the quality with which we created the “i” in the first place. This article deals with how we fall into the trap of utility and gives a technique to experience the quality. That quality is our real nature.
The love of “i”
In your life, you try to gauge, study, cognize, and understand everything based on the idea “i”. The “i” with which you perceive the world is experienced as important and glorious, because only with its support you are able to perceive and enjoy. What you perceive as “i” is enchanting, mesmerizing, and most useful than anything else.
As it provides a lot of utility value, you just possess and grab that “i”. You have so much of greed to keep it functioning and have so much of fear of losing it. As it is the first useful thing in your life, you are in love with it, you celebrate and enjoy it.
Quality creates utility
At present, you are celebrating the “i” for its utility value and not because of the quality of it. We miss the quality that creates the utility. More and more you celebrate the “i” because of the utility value, more and more your life becomes dead. More and more you start understanding the quality of the “i”, more and more your life becomes alive.
A small shift
If you look at your life only based on utility value, your eyes are important as they help you see; ears are important to listen; tongue helps you to taste. Do not go on cognizing anything based only on utility value. Let your emotions not be based on utility value.
You need just a small shift. When you look at the quality instead of the utility alone, life becomes totally different. Do not reduce your consciousness to utility value.

Do the following 3 steps to work towards falling in love with the quality behind existence.
- Find the quality behind an object that provides utility in your life
- Find the quality behind a person who creates utility in your life
- Find the quality behind the “i” that provides the most utility for your life

- What is the quality which is lighting my eyes, making my ears active, making my nose alive, making my tongue taste, what is the quality of I which is making all this alive, which enlightens all this?
- What is this “i” which makes me think a million thoughts a moment and makes me decide by handling large data which even a billion super computers can’t do? What is it?
- In the physical, mental, emotional, psychological level what is the quality of “i” which is useful?
Whenever you see the quality which is becoming so useful to you, you just fall in love with it forever. Meditate on the quality. When you meditate, you will enjoy it, you will just be one with it and fall in love with it.
