It was a special Bhogi for the crew of Gautamiputra Satakarni led by actors Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shriya Saran, director Krish and others as they took part in the festivities atop Indrakreeladri, the abode of goddess Kanaka Durga on Friday. Attired in traditional silk ‘pancha’ and ‘kurta’, Mr. Balakrishna took the blessings of the goddess amidst ceremonial welcome accorded by the temple authorities. For the hundreds of devotees, it was a surprise as they saw their favourite hero in flesh and blood on festival day. Balakrishna also interacted with them and enjoyed the warmth of Bhogi bonfire.

“It is a nice feeling to come to the temple on the auspicious festival which is close to the hearts of the people of Andhra Pradesh,” said Mr. Balakrishna, addressing the waiting mediapersons. Incidentally, it is Balayya’s 100th film. For Krish, this Bhogi was special as he was visiting his in-laws as ‘kotha alludu’ (son-in-law).
