The annual brahmotsavams of the Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple began on a grand note with the hoisting of sacred ‘Nandi Dhwaja Patham’ on the temple pillar, during the auspicious Meena Lagnam at 8.28 a.m. here on Friday.
The celestial fête took place in the presence of the utsava murthies, including Sri Soma Skandamurthi, Sri Kamakshmi Ammavaru, Sri Chandikeswara Swamy, Sri Vinayaka Swamy and Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subramanya Swamy in a ceremonial manner. Vedic pundits rendered Vrishabha Stuti, Siva Stuti and Phala Stuti during the religious ceremony.

Later, ‘Pallaki Utsavam’ was conducted wherein the deities of Lord Shiva and Parvati were taken around the temple on ‘Tiruchi Vahanam’. In the evening, the deities were carried in procession on ‘Hamsa Vahanam’.
