Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, Sudha Narayana Murthy was today sworn in as a member of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board which governs the famous Lord Venkateswara temple at nearby Tirumala.
TTD Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sudha Murthy inside the shrine at dawn today, temple sources said.
Sixty six-year-old Sudha Narayana Murthy, philanthropist, was appointed by the Andhra Pradesh government in the place of industrialist J Sekhar Reddy who was sacked from TTD Board following detection of huge amounts of cash and gold from his premises by the Income Tax Department during raids in Chennai and other places in December, temple sources said.
After taking oath as member, Sudha Murthy said that she had visited the hills when she was child some decades ago and thanked the god for giving her opportunity to serve the devotees and the Almighty on the hills, they added
