Amritsar, Feb 19 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid obeisance at the Golden Temple here.
Kumar was received by Punjab Cabinet minister Daljit Singh Cheema and SGPC chief Kirpal Singh Badungar at the temple and was given a ‘Siropa’ (robe of honour) by a priest.
Thereafter, Cheema and Badungar along with other senior SGPC officials, honoured him with a replica of the Golden Temple, a set of Sikh religious books and shawl.
After paying obeisance at the temple, Kumar said, “It was my keen wish to visit the Golden Temple and pay obeisance.
Here I can feel mental peace that is inexpressible.”
