In the evening, deities were taken out on Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam

Lord Kalyana Venkateswara went on a pleasure ride on the ‘Kalpa Vruksha Vahanam’ along with His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi on the fourth day of the annual Brahmotsavam at the TTD’s Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple here on Sunday.
The deity was taken out on the four Mada streets encircling the temple, as hundreds of devotees witnessed the grand procession. According to legend, the ‘Kalpa Vruksha’ was one of the elements that erupted when the milky ocean was churned using the Mandara mountain.
In the afternoon, ‘Snapana Tirumanjanam’ was performed, when the deities were given a bath with milk, coconut water, curd and honey, after which turmeric and sandal paste were applied. Special garlands made of Kuru Vettiveru, roses, lilies and Tulasi were adorned to the deities. The pundits chanted Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Neela Suktam and Purusha Suktam rhythmically for different ingredients used by the priests for the bath.

In the evening, the deities were taken around on Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam.
