Ujjain: Two- day Kalpvalli programme organised by Kalidas Academy concluded here on Tuesday. Veteran Sanskrit scholar and former divisional commissioner Mohan Gupt was chief guest who addressed the audience in the event. He said Vedas were the sea of knowledge. “We should try to preserve the knowledge imparted in Vedas,” he said.
Professor Balkrishna Sharma also addressed the programme and said Vedas were the fundamental source of knowledge and religion.
He also enlightened the audience on the various branches of Vedas. Pt Digambar Lakhe, Jainarayan Sharma, Mahendra Shastri, Sohan Bhatt, Arun Mehta, Somprakash Sharma, Avadhoot Sagarkar and students presented Shakha Swadhyay. Anand Sinha welcomed the guests and Santosh Pandya conducted the programme.
