A temple and four houses were gutted after a massive fire broke in Dangar Nalla area of Kishtwar district here, police said today.
Fire broke out from a temple around 8:15 PM yesterday, Kishtwar SSP Sandeep Wazir said.
He said that four residential houses adjoining the temple were also burnt in the fire and no human casualties were reported in the incident.
However, a dog and a calf were charred to death in the fire, he added.
Wazir said a case has been registered in this regard and investigation in underway to ascertain the cause of fire.
