The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) plans a youth-oriented spiritual programme in its visual propagation arm Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).
At the weekly review meeting on Monday, TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao explained to the SVBC authorities on the importance of educating the youth on the importance of the Hindu Sanatana Dharma and thus the need to design an exclusive programme targeted at youth. “SVBC should come out with an interesting programme in the half-an-hour slot to enhance dharmic and spiritual consciousness among the youth,” Dr. Rao said. He also wished the SVBC and the monthly magazine ‘Sapthagiri’ to prominently display and print some 30 important slokas from the Bhagavad Gita to popularise them among the youth and children.

Dr. Rao called upon the officials of various departments to make elaborate arrangements for the ensuing Brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama temple in Vontimitta.
He asked the festival committee headed by Joint Executive Officer P. Bhaskar to visit the temple next week to supervise the arrangements and directed the engineering wing to complete the pending works in time.
The ongoing Brahmotsavam at Upamaka in Visakhapatnam district is also being conducted in a big way, with special focus on ‘Kalyanam.’
