Unknown miscreants vandalised two deities at a Hindu temple in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria early today.
The two idols at Radha-Krishna temple of Shahbajpur village were vandalised anytime last night, said Ranjan Nandi, a villager who first saw the statues broken and later, informed police.
The miscreants might have entered the temple after breaking open the window, our local correspondent reports quoting Imtiaz Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Nabinagar Police Station.
“Primarily, we are suspecting it as an incident of burglary,” the OC said.
A police team was sent to the spot and the perpetrators will be brought to the book soon, he said.
