GANDHINAGAR: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), a hard line Hinduva ideology wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and sister concern of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has planned ‘Virat (major) Hindu Sammelan(gathering)’ at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad on March 26 in which it expects participation of around 50,000 volunteers from across Gujarat.
Dr Pravin Togadiya, former cancer surgeon and VHP’s International President, will be the main speaker at the event.
The VHP leaders will raise issue Ram Mandir, cow protection and love Jihad. The VHP has invited several Hindu saints in the sammelan.
However, sources claimed that as it happened earlier the Gujarat government may not permit the VHP to hold such a huge public gathering in Ahmedabad.
