The Holi procession took place at Koridih village of Narayanpur police station area of Jamtara and the dispute between two community members increased at night, reported by Hindu Post.
Some local Muslims pelted stones on the Holi Procession, which was carried out in a village Jamtara, Jharkhand. The situation further led to communal tensions in the area.
At least six persons were reportedly injured in this incident. However the police took quick actions by bringing the situation under control, which soothed tempers to some extent. But tensions between the two communities reportedly continued to happen.

SDPO Arvind Upadhyay visited the area at night to calm both sides. Police vigil has been stepped up in the area. Those who were injured by the stone pelting, blocked the Laharjori-Narayanpur road in protest. Police stepped in to clear the blockade. Former Member of Parliament (MP) and father of sitting MLA Irfan Ansari of Jamtara, Furkhan Ansari reached the spot and appealed to members of both communities to maintain brotherhood and peace.
The grand Holi procession, carried out with playing musical instruments, which was heading towards the temple. When people of the minority community started pelting stones raising objections to it, that created a communal tension over there. Police is keeping a close eye on the area and perpetrators have been warned of strict action.
