Haryana congress leader Pankaj Punia reportedly was arrested for defaming Hindus and Yogi Adityanath along with Hindu nationalist organisation RSS through his tweet.

Outrage poured over his remarks and FIR were registered in Aligarh & Lucknow. He has been arrested from Karnal.

He also addressed Yogi Adityanath by his previous caste name ‘Bisht’ which is an insult to Hindu Sanyasi system in which a person who has taken deeksha is no longer addressed by his parental caste.
