The lady claimed that she came to know about her husband’s real religion after 6 years of their marriage when she went to meet her in-laws, facebook page, Documenting Crimes Against Hindus has reported.

Basti town, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking case has been filed in Basti town in Uttar Pradesh, where, a Hindu woman has alleged that her husband Aslam impersonated as Sonu had hid his religion for marrying her.

The lady claimed that she came to know about her husband’s real religion after 6 years of their marriage when she went to meet her in-laws.

Further, when she protested against her husband’s deception, Aslam allegedly tortured her and tried to strangulate her.
Reportedly, the victim was married to a man named Santosh, with whom she had 2 children. However, due to some differences, Santosh and the woman started living separately. During that time, Aslam showed empathy for the woman and married her by portraying himself as Sonu.

The victim married Aslam six years ago and has a three-year-old child from the marriage. However, a few days ago when Aslam took his wife to his house in Kasai Bada, she realised that Aslam is a Muslim, not a Hindu as he projected himself to be.

When the victim came to know about reality, she protested against her husband’s deceit. Aslam and his brothers tried to quell her opposition by attempting to stab her and strangulate her.

The police have registered a case against Aslam and his brothers-Razzaq, Bhaijaan and Mohammed Islam and an investigation in the matter have been initiated.
