Cow smugglers arrested in Saharanpur after Police-Smuggler encounter

A pistol, cowhide, nearly 70 kg cow meat along with remains and two motorcycles were recovered from them. Cases filed on the smugglers and all of them are jailed now, facebook page, Documenting Crimes Against Hindus has reported.

Saharanpur: Police have succeeded in capturing three cow smugglers here; however three of them fleed away from the place after the smugglers started firing on Police.

According to police station incharge Amit Sharma, early Sunday morning they were informed of ongoing cow slaughter in a mango orchard in village Budhhakheda. Police reached the scene and surrounded the place but to their surprise the cow smugglers began firing on them. 7 of those smugglers managed to flee but 3 of them – Mashruf, Amjad and Arshad were caught in police retaliation. A pistol, cowhide, nearly 70 kg cow meat along with remains and two motorcycles were recovered from them. Cases filed on the smugglers and all of them are jailed now.

In addition, police conducted raid in Mohaala Majarhassan and recovered nearly a quintal of cow meat and cowhide. The smugglers, however,jumped over the wall and ran away . Police has filed case on Rustam, Bhura, Nawab, Faizan Salim (Sonu), Mumtaz, Rahis, Aamir and 5 others who escaped.
