The incident came to light when devotees arrived at the temple on Sunday morning and freed the Pujari and others. Police reportedly arrived at the scene the same day and have started investigations on the matter, facebook page, Documenting Crimes Against Crimes has reported.
A case of temple robbery has been reported in Chakikheda village of Uttar Pradesh, where, three unknown burglars looted the Chakeshwar Mandir. They kept the Pujari of the temple and his two sons as hostages to fulfill their evil motive of robbery.
The criminals reportedly stole items worth around Rs. 80,000 including Rs. 40,000 cash.
The incident took place around 2am on Saturday night. The temple pujari, Mukhesh Giri was sleeping in the Gaushala near the Mandir. Three criminals carrying pistols attacked the Pujari and his two sons – Neeraj Giri and Harsh Sharma – and and blackmailed them to enter the temple. Then they shut the three of them in a room and carried out the burglary.
